A whole helping of Awesome
So it's been an incredibly dull week at work, so I figured why not do what everyone does, write in Live Journal!
Lets begin with a recap of things that in the past week or so have been Awesome:
1. 40 inch LCD HD TV! Things look amazing on it, especially football in HD. I'm fully convinced that this is the way that God watched football games, beacuse lets be honest here, there is no way He is paying NFL stadium consession prices.

2. Having a DVR. Didn't quite hear what that character just said? You just rewind!! It truely is the future.

3. Random Sunday night parties. Polato was in town this past weekend for the big Beller wedding extravgaza and so afterwards him and Adam came to watch some HD football and experience Halo on a 40 inch screen. Well shortly there after, Paul Nellis and then Ezela came over and Miranda joined the festivities, which included Halo 2, Gin (the card game), shooting things, splattering hot wax and the opening of my bottle of Jack Daniels Single Barrel Wiskey. Which while wasn't bad as a shot, is absolutely vile for sipping. A fun time was had by all and hopefully this portents many more such Sundays now that the NFL season is only 13 days away! If there was any let down to the night though it was the fact that we couldn't watch the game in HD which brings me to my non-awesome thing.

1. Cheap ass cable splitters. Yes apparently the cause of my months long cable issues was not the fault of my blessed cable company who bring me all that is good and footbally, but no it was because of the cable splitter that was put on the line against my better judgement. So a word of wisdom to all of you out there in TV land, if at first you don't succeed, check your wiring.

Alright racecar fans, I should get back to work probably, and by work I mean studying for the GMAT.

Wal-Mart
Now I know I basically never post, and the one time I do will probably result in more wailing and gnashing of teeth than my friends list has seen since the last time everyone thought about where it is their eggs really do come from... but anyways, here goes nothing. Radio Economics: Dr. Russell Roberts - Dr. Kevin Brancato - The Economics of Wal-Mart I think it's a very interesting podcast that discusses Wal-Mart in a frank manner from an economic perspective.
